For several years, in Belgium and around the world, numerous innovative proposals have been tested to renew our democratic system. The Agora citizen movement, for example, wants to give everyone the opportunity to participate in a fair and just manner in political decisions. To do this, we've put up a citizens' list in the 2019 elections and won a seat in the Brussels Parliament. Pepijn Kennis used this deputy seat to be the spokesperson for recommendations created during deliberative citizen assemblies. These assemblies brought together people drawn by lot from the population of the Brussels-Capital Region.
